Cot bed mattress

eeek I've ordered it today and just cannot wait to see my nursery finally come together with bedding etc but when would u put the mattress down? I mean baby not due until sept but I've got everything I need now whilst working

I can't wait but if I put if down when it comes will it have increased risk of cot death or anything? I'm terrified about that

baby will be with us for a few weeks but I do hope to have him in his own room sooner rather than later

I don't know if it increases the risk of cot death or not, I would have thought not as it will stil be brand new and not used. Having said that we didn't put ours in until the day our lo arrived as I was worried about this too. You could pop it in with all the wrappers still on?! Good luck xxx
