conjuctivitis :(

Woke up today and Lo looks like he has been punched and getting a black eye its all swollen and red and covered in gunk. Managed to bag a Dr apt at 11, they are gonna think I'm a right hypochondriac mum as he was there on tues about his colic to be prescribed gaviscon and have his chest checkeyd as he has a cold feel like I'm never away from there at the moment as he has his jabs on Monday!!!

Conjunctivitis is awful tho, I really feel for him, it can't damage his eye tho can it? No idea where he's caught it from????

Owen had this a few times in the early weeks. We just cleaned the gunk off with cotton wool and cooled boiled water then. A few drops of breast milk and it always cleared up overnight

Breast milk? Did you put it on some cotton wool or straight on his eye like an eye drop? Does it work?

Elexia had it last week, we just kept cleaning it with a cotton wool ball and warm water and tried to stop her transferring it from one eye to the other, which is quite impossible with a new born as she loves waving her arms about and rubbing her face with them x x
