my 12 has opened up lots of porn on my computer, am finding it impossible to remove, any advice. plus my computer is awfully slow. x
the problem with rebooting is it can only done within a year. we have trying clearing it but there are 23 violations that seem to be staying put. i have only just thought about posting on here for some help.
Get the virus check running and a spyware check. Delete any porn you can find. Sorry to be a spoilsport.
my sil did that but it wont seem to remove it all. At least the popups dont appear when my 5 year old is on the cbeebies site
What do you mean you can only reboot within a year? Delete all your temp internet history tools>internet options>general>temp files fully Shutdown (not reboot) your machine and leave for a minute or so before turning on. If you still get pop ups when you go back online, without going to porn sites, then sounds like you have a virus. If you haven't any virus protection, this one is free and will scan your machine and fix any virus you have free.grisoft.com
i thought that you was talking about taking the computer back a year to those settings, then you wipe out anything in that year that was added. i think thats correct.
you could also try downloading a free pop-up blocker from somewhere like downloads.com that should stop them poping up manda xx
oh I see (i think you can do that with XP ) No hun, lou meant re-boot (turn off) your machine. bloody computers, they're great until they stop working!!
What Virus checking software do you have? and spyware? You need to go and download the free version of AVG its the only decent virus and spyware checker. It should get rid of any issues you have.
