basically im on the pill and wondering if i was to stop taking it tmoro how long would it take to get pregnant,
thanks pixie :? :?

nope nowhere near it! some ladies do fall quite quickly but many wait for what seems like forever i have heard many times of women who are still trying anything up to 4 years after coming off birth control

First congratulations to sugarhigh!!

And I have been off the pill for two months now and I know how hard it is to have to wait!
It's only been to months and Im already impatient!
But Im trying to learn to have patience.

I've been off the pill since april and still no luck for us yet.

good luck. hope you catch sooner than me (if that's what you want - one soon i mean)

came off pill in june and have had 2 cycles so far 1 was 102 days 2nd 42 days so getting better but it takes time!!!
xx

sorry to say it can take couples 1 month 1 year 2 years 10 years you never no i came off the pill and 2 years later im still waiting to be pregnant

Just thought I might be able to add some good news. Came off the pill in October last year and fell pregnant straight away, now have a lovely little baby girl. I was on the pill for twelve years without a break so thought I would take a little longer. I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

I have good news too, I came off the pill the middle of March last year and conceived the beginning of June. We didn't start trying until the end of April and realised later that June was the first month that we had actually had sex when I was ovulating.

The general advice is that you wait until you have your first proper period so that you can work out due dates etc, but that is entirely up to you. My periods were all over the place for those couple of months though, I was having between a 35 and 45 day cycle.

HI, i came off the pill 15 mnths ago after being on it continuously for 5 years. My cycles were and still are anything from 22 days to 30 days. I thought this month I had my first BFP, but i think its just evaporation lines on the tests cos i did a clearblue digi today and it said BFN. I'm off to the docs next week if the witch arrives, which she should be doing in the next 48 hrs. I'm rambling...sorry.........just a bit peed off with the cheapy tests which i DO NOT reccommend!!!! However,it is important to know that everyone women is different, and whilst it might be the pill that causes someone to get pregnant straight away, or 2 years later,we are all unique and you have to hold onto the fact, that it will happen when it happpens. I get so impatient and upset with it, especially this month, when both sis-in-laws just had babies at the drop of a hat and my sis has just declared she too is pregnant!! Suddenly it seems like its everywhere you turn!!! BUt good luck, have fun, enjoy the journey and your limited time left you have alone with your partner. Make sure you follow your temp and ov charts and you should be flying in no time!!!!
