So today I came down with a cold and really dry sore throat. Now I never ever have colds, been at least 12 months since last one. Someone said to me that this is really common before going into labour. Has anyone else heard this? I'm not worried as still have a little while to go (well hopefully anyway), just wondered if anyone else has heard this or even experienced it?

I had colds non stop throughout this pregnancy, had one recently and was like really?!?!
Think it's just our immune systems being low, so we get them a lot easier x could be the dry weather affecting u tho, with it being so warm and dry, just keep drinking lots of water and try sleep when u can xxxxx

Yes!!! The two mornings before I went in to labour I woke up with a horrendously sore and dry throat and thought I was loaded with the cold x
