Yesterday my friend and I embarked upon a 5 hour shopping spree in Meadowhall...the most wonderful place in the world apart from when your having a baby. We are off to a couple of weddings in October and I really need something a little bit dressy, not too expensive and that will hopefully do for Christmas as well. Next had taken off their mat., DP had about 6 things which are great for shopping in, Mamas and Papas had no evening at all and H&M and mothercare were really rubbish for dressy!!! I give up!
All I want is to feel normal, am I the only pregnant woman in a 100 miles of Sheffield that wants to buy clothes while pregnant???? So why havent they got any!!!
Sorry to moan but my feet were killing me and I was so fed up(still am even after sleep!!)

I know how you feel. Im dreading Xmas, its my bday on Xmas Eve 2!! This sounds sad but I got a couple of nice maternity tops at ASDA which were lovely, and not too revealing. I am 22 and consider myself to be fairly fashionable-well I used to be pre pregnancy.

Hope this helps and let me know how you get on. xx

I got told in my local ASDA that they didnt do maternity any more, which one did you go to?

How about trying shopping online with somewhere like 'Blooming Marvelous' or if you want to keep costs down try additionsdirect they do quite a bit of maternety wear and are really well priced. Online shopping saves on the feet aswell!

Ive given up on lookingnice during pregnancy as I look like a blimp, so whats the point of looking like a sparkly blimp!
Im more saving my pennies for a post pregnancy lothes shopping splurge! gonna feel like a woman again and go mad, I really missed being able to wander round clothes shops this summer, as doing so just made me miserable that I couldn't buy any of it!

I agree with additionsdirect.co.uk. Quite a lot of their maternity stuff is dressy. ideal for parties. I haven't bought any dressy stuff as we won't be having an office party this year and I don't really have anything special to go to this year.

Also try funmum.com. they have dressy stuff which is a bit more pricey and if you feel like a real splurge try isabellaoliver.com. Not cheap but you can find some really classic pieces that could be dressed up for a night out.

hope that helps

I'm determined to look nice for as long as I can. I don't seem to be putting weight on all over yet and I'm making the most of my neat bump while it lasts!

Thanks everyone, I have just been on the fun mum site and they have some really nice stuff on there it is not that expensive and they are normal!!!clothes. Thanks for the support guys x
