Hi everyone!! I've been in and out of this site just reading everyones posts now and again! This time i need HELP!!

I am currently on Clomid and have been for 5 months due to long cycles 38 -42days. i was initially started on 50mg but the last two months i took 75mg on my bat!! i haven't been given any scans or been monitored since Jan! i really thought i was pg this month and have never felt as disappointed! couldn't make it to work today cause i'm that down! i miscarried in Feb of last year and have been trying to conceive ever since!

Anyhow my question is::: I have 1 more month to take and don't know if i should cause they're making me so depressed, feeling rough and obviously not working! Does anyone know will my cycles return to how they were if i stop taking it???

I have no idea about Clomid but felt i couldn't read and not reply. You should speak to your specialist (or GP) about this especially as you're suffering with depression. Is 6 months the maximum a woman can take Clomid? And what other options are open to you? I hope someone comes online soon that will be able to offer you better advice. Keep us updated and I hope you get your BFP soon

Ah thanks a mill!!

I'm really not sure if 6months is the max that i can take it!! i have a hospital appointment on Monday and taking my DH with me so that consultant will take me seriously!! Just gonna pour my heart i!! I suffer from PCOS and have heard that keyhole surgery may help so im gonna suggest that! Fingers crossed!!

I hope you get you BFP soon too!!

i've jsut found out that my 2 sister in laws are expecting! 1 with her fourth and the other with her second and the other kids are still really young!! Why is it so hard :wall:

It's good you're seeing someone next week and it's a good idea to take DH with you. You pour out your heart and tell them exactly what your fears are and more importantly what other options are open to you.
I had keyhole surgery last month (a laparoscopy) i think they can drain Cysts with this procedure and also have a poke about to see if anything else might be wrong.
It's natural to feel depressed especially with the strain of TTCing, always feel free to come onto the forum and spill out your concerns. And it's always tough when people around you are having babies - infact it's awful but we can help each other through it.

Ah thank you so much!! It's nice to know that i'm nt alone

What did you have keyhole for and was it hard to go through??

Thanks again!! i feel better already!!

I was on Clomid for 5 months, had a ruptured ovarian cyst the size of a grapefruit. Got off of it and stopped ttc...this was back in '99. No longer with that OH...

If you can tolerate the symptoms, I know it has helped many friends of mine conceive. Hang in there and best of luck!

hi SCOTT53

I'm currently on my 2nd cycle of CLOMID. And beleive me i really know how you feel as far as feeling down goes. I feel like people just think i'm putting it on, but my hormones and moods are all over the place. I've tried to explain to loved ones what it does, but they just don't get it...

I normally have a 41 day cycle and the first month it has reduced my cyles to 35. and my period was less painful and only lasted 4 days. Normally i can't get out of bed without taking nurofen plus, and i'm really heavy which can last for 7 days. So really pleased with that.

I think you should hang on in there and go for it for one more month as you can only take it for 6 months max   for you x x x I've read so many stories about women taking it for the 6th month not wanting to and get PG....

Good luck and i'm always here of you need to chat.

Check out 'taking charge of your fertility' website. Have great forums on CLOMID. I've learnt a lot just from reading the discussions......
