hello all

its been a couple of weeks since i have been on, but i find myself having withdrawl symptoms reading you all.

Went to the Specialist last week ( every time it a different doctor which is so annoying because I forget to ask questions) any hoo.
Think I had a chemical last month. i had so many symptoms before AF due and this month i am 4 days away and as usual nothing.

I have been prescribed 50mg clomid to take cd 2 -6. i am really nervous because i have read some disturbing side affects.

Anyone got any advice or stories that might ease my nerves.

i am geting so stressed. am 31 and would love a baby so so much i am getting very angry all the time feel like im banging agaist a brick wall all the time:wall:

Congratulations Rowesb:yay::yay: and :dust::dust::dust: for everyone
x x x

im not really sure of the side effects. The doctor and family planning suggested clomid to me but said i neeeded to go through the hospital or re book appointments with the family planning but they said they prob woulnt be able to give me anything as its nhs 1/2 funded or something - annoying - good luck x x x

The only thing I've heard is that its best to take clomid at night so any side effects can happen when you're asleep type thing :)

Best of luck hun :)

I was on clomid for quite a while and had four conceptions from it (unfortunatly they all mc, and this pg is natural), but anyway. I know when i very first started I had some problems my blood pressure went quite low and i was weak, but that could have been other things not just the clomid, maybe stress etc. But i don't remember it being awful, i had to go to the hospital every two weeks for blood tests which i found a pain. But actual physical side effects can't have been that horrific because i don't remember. Also after being on that I have some how managed to start ovulating naturally after years of not, so it worked for me!

One tip, this might sound a bit of a drama queen thing to do, but like you i had trips to the hospital to see the specialist and kept seeing different people who didn't know anything about me or my history. After a while i got wise to it and ever since I have always insisted on seeing my consultant, as soon as I get there I tell reception i won't see a registrar I would prefer to see the consultant. Its normally a 2 hour wait or so but I find its worth it, because after over 5 years of seeing him now I trust him and he remembers me and my history. Hope it all goes well, and good luck honey x
