Clear blue dual hormone tester

Hi, do any of you ladies know if you can use the clear blue tester again after you have had a solid face.
I have 2 sticks left from last month, wondering if I can use these in the old tester. Or should I use them in a new one since i will need more than 2 sticks anyway?
And why can we not just buy replacement sticks for the original tester!!

Once you get a static smiley it stays there for 48 hours,
You can use a old reader but the first one will always show up blank, as it thinks its a new cycle x

Thanks. I'll probably just get rid of the old oneand add the 2 left over sticks to the new ones so it's the one reader for the full cycle.
