So I have a 2.5 year old and I am expecting twins ... I drive a Toyota Corolla verso which has 7 seats, I am trying to avoid using the rear 2 seats as I need the boot for a pram :).

A few weeks ago we tested that our seats could fit in the back of the car and they did. However this morning when waving my husband and son off I noticed my sons head was about 7cm above the top of his car seat (rough guess as I didn't measure). That to me says we need a new seat for him, however I'm not sure what car seats are best for him and what will fit in my car as every website I go on ( as I'm currently too big to drive ) doesn't tell me what seats are compatible with the centre seat of my car.

Has anyone got any experience they could kindly share

Thanks in advance x

Do you use Facebook? Check out a group called car seat advice for mummies and daddies. They deal with car seats on a daily basis, lots of people on there with great knowledge. I'm sure they'll be able to help

Is he tall for his age? 2.5 seems quite young to outgrow a stage 1. Can I ask the silly question of whether you have fully raised the head support?

He's not overly tall but is on the taller side. And yes the head rest is raised, it's not a complete issue if we need a new one but it's not an expense I particularly want right now.

Ah I shall correct myself ... There is no headrest on that car seat. It's a Britax eclipse. We are switching car seats with each other as the one in my car is isofix and cannot attach in the middle seat of my car.

Hey Everyone,

New to this forum so I'm not sure if anyone has already asked this but thought this would be the right place to start :)

My daughter is now 19 months old. I'm really struggling at the minute as she has spoilt herself a few times and her current seat keeps getting ruined. I have removed the covers and washed them but its so inconvenient!

I've done quite a lot of research online for a brand that has child friendly leather car seats as with my range rover if I spill anything I can simply clean it with a baby wipe, does anyone here know of a brand that sells these type of seats?

If so, is their seat a group 123 with reclining function and isofix compatible?

Any help and advice will be appreciated :)

If I find anything in the meantime I will post updates on this forum for anyone else suffering from the same issue.

Thanks

Helen

Ooh I'm not sure but wipe clean seats sound good to me :) x

Hey Everyone,

A little update since my last post. Good News :)

I continued my research and as promised thought I would share my findings for anyone else to benefit from.

I recently came across a website called mumii in the uk. Anyone who is familiar with this site will know of their family choice awards. Previously they have awarded brands like cosatto and maxi cosi, but im not really looking for a seat with clowns and cakes on.

Surprisingly in this years nominations I noticed a brand called Bebylux nominated for the best nursery brand. They specialise in leather, group 123 , reclining and isofix ready seats ! 😊😊😊

My question is, has anyone bought a seat previously or is using one of their seats currently? If so what has your experience been? It states that the same seat can be used from 9 months to 11 years old - is this possible?

Im 99% sure about going for their Alexa Classico seat as it matches my range rover perfectly. Plus its only £495! I will be ordering the seat this weekend and will post any pics once it arrives. Perfect present for Ella for christmas 😁 x

I haven't heard of them, although intrigued on their prices x

Received the seat on Monday

Looks amazing ! Hopefully will post some quick snaps once I've got some time for you guys.
