give braydon a bottle in his cot so wen he wake up over nite he can have it ?? or is he still to young

ive never given Adele a bottle in with her in her cot by her own but i have given her it in my bed if im beside her. My sister done this with her oldest daughter when she was 9 months she used to get up every half hour for a drink so she gave her milky tea in a bottle to bed with her and she was fine but if im right im sure she said she put slow flow teats on it just incase it fell over and didnt drip all over the cot.

good luck hunny

I thought about doing that with ewan but he would probably dripp it all over his bed and also at night he wouldn't see where it was anyway..

im very naughty... i prop the bottle up on Harleys blanket he nods of and sucks it. i just pooter around upstairs and keep his door open so i can keep looking in at him

does braydon hold his own bottle???

if so then its fine Dior has always gone to bed with bottle

i give my son his bottle in his cot, i have done ever since he started holding it by himself and hes been fine

Personally i wouldn't especially if it is Formula milk as bacteria will start breeding.

That is if i have read your post right, that you want to put it in is cot when you go to bed so he can feed himself if he wakes up.

I know loads of people who give their babies bottles in cot to get them off to sleep, but i find it quite odd if you are gonna do it just in case he wakes up so that you don't have to get up to him.

Hi

My neighbour gives her a bottle for when she wakes up somtimes it works okay for them
Katrina

I do with Aimee cos she wakes up for a bottle at 6.30 everyday and i don't want to get up. I give her 5 minutes and take it out of her cot as long as shes finished with it.

is it formula? and do you put it in the cot when you go to bed?

Dior always goes to bed with a bottle then if she stirs in the night she will drink it and nod back of, with Harleys formula i take it up to bed with me and leave it on the stairs untill he wakes then i prop it up in his cot for him (if i hold him he will wake up and want to play lol)
he will fall asleep then i take the bottle out he dont need a wind

I go down and get one out of the ftidge and warm it. She normally drinks it in one go anyway. She go back of till 8 after that.

I can understand with Dior as she is older and i understand what you do with Harley, because you are getting up to give him it, your just not holding him as he thinks its playtime, but you are there with him aren't you?

Right ok , the way i read it was that you put the bottle in with her 'cos you didnt want to get up!!! sorry hun

i tottaly get what you mean now

with Harley i prop it up and he will lay and drink it i will be in his room or on the landing or pop to the loo when hes had anough he will spit it out, when he was younger ild watch him the whole time. when the bottles empty i just take it out

no offence to any of you but i would be shitting myself to leave for one second, dont mean to upset anyone but thats just me especially if they are laying flat on their backs drinking milk

i dont get it though how a baby can drink formula milk if its lay in the cot beside them for a few hours wont it go lumpy? :puke:

sorry if ive missed something am a bit tired and not concentrating properly

take care all

i make mine up and leave them on the side for hrs before harley drinks them they dont go lumpy i used to put them straight in fridge till i read on her alot of mums wernt bothering so i tried it harley was fine. just gave the bottle a lil shake

harley dont lay flat in a cot either he has a pillow so is tilted up and he lays on the side with his bottle

I keep Brody's milk in the fridge, I go downstairs and warm it, then hold it for him while he drinks it.
When he's old enough I might go downstairs, warm a beaker of milk and give it to him (without me holding it)

I do pretty much the same as Dionne. Lydia absolutely refuses to go to sleep without a bottle, so I pop her in her cot and give her one. She sucks herself to sleep.

In the middle of the night though she will wake up and moan because she's finished it.

I keep a bottle of water by my bed, so when she wakes up and moans for another one, I quickly count out 8 scoops of formula into the water, give it a shake, and give it to her. Then I go back to bed.

Then she sucks herself to sleep again.

i always give bayley his bottle in his cot not that he sleeps any better or anythin

mmm not sure about this Sarah because he will get used to having a bottle in bed with him.......best not get him in the habit!

Personally I wouldnt leave a bottle on the side all night because of bacteria!

I have left Ella in her cot with a bottle once when I ahd a shower, propped up with my pillow, but I was worrying the whole time and haven;t done it since.

When she wakes around 7.30am for her bottle, I go downstairs make it up and warm it then she gets inbetween us in bed and holds her bottle herslef and drinks it while w ehave cuddles!
