According to my signature calendar thing, I started to ovulate yesterday and I noticed that when I went to the toilet, there was brown stuff on my pants  like what happens at the end of your period (but my period was weeks ago). It wasn't just brown CM, it was more than that.

Is this just an ovulation thing? I did feel a few cramps like my period was trying to come which was different than normal ovulation twinges, it actually felt the same way before my period arrives

Hi hun, I had the same thing this cycle, when I thought I should be ovulating I had brown discharge and some light pinkish discharge too for 1-2 days. Well that was on CD day 14 and now I'm CD 41 with no Af or BFP so now I'm starting to wonder whether it really was ovulation bleeding... however from what I've read I think it is quite normal to have some discharge/bleeding around ovulation. It's a good sign I think that everything's working well! Good luck!

Some people have discharge or bleeding around ovulation.. Its normal :D
Good luck with ttc

No not everyone gets it, but it isnt uncommon and it shouldnt be anything to worry about. I think its just a little bit of blood from when the egg breaks through. In some ways its very good to know exactly when you have ovulated and that the egg has definitely been released.

Just googled it:

"Some women know when they are ovulating because they can feel a slight pain in their lower abdomen. Other women may bleed slightly in the middle of their cycle. "

It's kind of exciting to think I started to ovulate on the exact day of my signature calendar!
