Breast and Bottle

Hi

Just wondering if it is possible to do both - breast feed and bottle feed


i would like to breast feed but take some of the pressure off by expressing and giving baby a bottle

I would like my OH to be able to feed baby and also make it easier when i go out to the farm etc... to have a bottle of milk rather than breastfeeding.

could this be done from day one or it is best to get baby used to breast first and then give bottle a few weeks in?

Its possible to do both, once you get into a routine and supply is estabkished you will be able to express and give it via bottle x

You do need to establish the supply first, dont put pressure on yourself to express. Establishing takes around 6 weeks plus by then you will be more confident etc.
In the early days, babies feed a lot and sometimes you feel chaines to.the sofa but it does pass. There is also a big growth spurt around 4-6 weeks which leaves everyone doubting of they have enough milk but its baby"ordering" more
