what actually happens while u are having these.... last nite my stomach went rock solid and i got shapr pains don't the middle of my stomach.. they hurt and i had to go lie in bed... made me feel really ill

I don't think that I have had any either, but my midwife told me yesterday that it could be having BH when my belly goes hard. I have to go lie down to feel comfortable again. xxx

I found that my belly got rock hard and although it didn't hurt, I felt that it would be tender and would hurt if I got bumped into.

that's pretty much what they are. they don't really hurt but they're very unconfortable and for 30 seconds you feel a bit paralysed.
i get them every single day, every single night. at night it's worse.
