my dad had one yesterday, one of those expensive ones (is it mri or somthing?) to check his tinnitus is not caused by anything sinister
anyway, he said its horrible! its a really tight tube apparently ur elbows nearly scrape the sides, and it makes a loud noise like "ding ding ding ding!" and just as the nurse wheeled him in she said "youll be about half an hour" !
luckily for him he'd been for a wee b4! just thought id warn anyone who has one to wee b4 u go in, coz ur stuck for half an hour lol

I had one about 6 years ago after a car accident - they aren't the most pleasent of things but if you aren't clostrophobic (sp) you should be ok if you have an empty bladder!

Hope they find the reason for your dad tinnitus x

my dad had to have one too. They gave him a panic button thingy incase he freaked out cos he said it felt like being in a coffin
