Can you go bowling when your pregnant??

I wanted to take OH bowling for his birthday as he loves it but I have no idea if I can do it whilst pregnant! His birthday is the end of the month

Thank you xx

I went bowling when I was around 20 weeks. I just made sure that I used the light bowling balls and didn't strain myself. xx

Thanks Riotfox! I've been lifting my 2 and a half year old and thought he must definately be heavier than the lighter balls lol xx

I was invited to go bowling recently, but didn't play - just cheered instead. I was told not to lift anything more than 5 kilos, and even the lightest ball would be heavier than that.

I wouldn't have thought it would be a problem as long as you're not throwing yourself down the alleys or being over enthusiastic! :) But I would take what i.love said on board just in case.

If you've been lifting your 2 year old your body is still used to lifting heavy things so should be ok (I'm still weight training at gym most days) just be careful as you throw the ball, this is why you should pick a light ball and not throw too hard, you don't want to pull anything as everything has become lose. If you start feeling strained just take a rest or stop, have fun x

i went bowling at around 8 weeks!!! had only just found out, used normal balls ect didn't think anything of it!!! but then i go have to occasionally lift up to 11kilos when doing the delivery at work! which i did today with no problems! but then i suppose my body is used to they weight! i'm sure you'll be fine but just take it careful!
