Hi ladies,

I'm new to the whole making my own food and blending into a purée for H.

So far she has had these home made meals;

Broccoli and Cauliflower Cheese
Sweet Potato a Carrot
Potato and Carrot
Apple and Strawberries
Banana And Apple
Potato, Apple and Carrot
Peach and Banana

Etc, basically I have thrown in what's in the fridge and have had inspiration from Annabel's recipes with putting Apples in a lot.

Tonight I'm making a roast dinner and was wondering what beef blends like? I was literally going to throw the potato, carrot, broccoli, cauliflower and beef along side a babies chicken stock cube, do you think this is ok? I think Beef is quite tough so not sure how it's going to blend!! Sorry if that's a stupid question!

X

I've done a beef dinner before and it blends great. You just need to slow cook it so it's not too tough and you'll need to add plenty of liquid in the blender to blend it easily. Phoebe loved it too. I've done minced beef too in a spag bol x

Phew thanks Rach! Ok so another stupid question lol, I have a slow cooker, but only ever cooked pork and mince in it. How long do I need to put the beef in it? Its only a teeny one that says it takes 20 minutes in the oven but if I slow cook I want to eat it by 6ish. What time do you think I should put it in for? X

I did it yesterday and it was fine , ruby loved her first roast dinner it was a hit xxx

If you have diff heat settings I'd put on low for 6 hours if it's a joint :)

I was going to say add a bit more liquid when blending beef! My lo used to live his blended roast dinners!he loves them now at 21 mths!! Obviously cut up now though! I'd definately say about 5-6 hours and it should be really tender and fall apart almost!!
