Has anyone used bio oil on their stretch marks? Does it actually work, helping them to fade?

I got loads when I was pregnant and they are showing no signs of fading and they are annoying me now.

I just wanted to know if it does work becuase it's expensive and I don't want to waste my money if it dosen't.

Thanks :)

i use it and my stretchmarks have gone silvery grey compared to purple when i first got them!
ebay is fab for gettin it cheaper!

I'll get some then if it does work :D

I've just looked on ebay and it's much cheaper, so i'll get it off there..Thanks :D :D

I have used 2 bottles so far and mine are still purple although they have faded slightly. I have started to use body butter now and it seems to be doing the same job. I think bio oil is probably good if you use it for a long time but it is expensive especially as I have to use a lot. My stretch marks are quite deep though so it might work better if your stretch marks arn't to bad.

Is body butter expensive?

My stretchmarks are really deep and look bad, so might work out very expensive with bio oil then :(

I've never used it myself but I know people who swear by it

I swear by bio oil... hadnt heard of it until I saw an advert for it. I got some off ebay for after I gave birth and it has worked wonders. I still have a few purple stretchmarks, but alot have faded... barely noticeable now :D

If only there was a wonder oil for my left over baby belly

Body shop body butter is about £10 but for a big tub and Boots do one in the mediterranean pregnancy range for about £5. It smells really nice. Maybe you could get bio oil and body butter and use on alternate days so that the bio oil lasts longer.

use palmers cocoa butter and bio oil after ur damp from a shower, much stronger!!! :D

You can put a few drops of bio oil in your bath and it will last much longer and make your skin soft all over :)

Yes actually I have heard that Palmers cocoa butter is good.

My little girl has a small scar on her face as she was cut during the c-section (not the surgeon's fault, my womb had clamped tight shut, so she wasn't able to engage properly) and I've been putting bio-oil on it every day. It's really helping, so I reckon it's great stuff. Haven't used it on my stretch marks yet, am wanting to make sure I have enough to do Deb's face first. I'm pretty impressed with it, loads of things say they will help the skin, but not many actually do, whereas this bio-oil is working wonders for Debs.
