Hi everyone, I hope you are all doing well
I went for an early scan in hospital due to very sharp pain (I had no idea that the corpus luteum can be THAT painful and I usually have very painful periods). Baby is fine (6+2) with a heart beat.
But then the synographer told me in a passing comment that I have a bicornuate/ heart shaped uterus. And asked if I have had a scan before. And yes I have had many scans before. I’ve been going to the Gyn for the past 16 years and have a scan done once a year (its routine on the continent to check on cancer, fibroids etc) and seen about 3-4 different doctors/ synographers in the yeas.. no one ever mentioned this..
the synographer yesterday told me I have a higher chance of miscarriage and preterm birth..
Is it just me who finds it strange that this only came up yesterday? Could she have been wrong? (She otherwise seemed quite completely).
And does anyone else have this “malformation”?
Thanks so much xx
