I'm still suffering with my back. It starting to be an issue whilst pregnant with Amelia, but now it's still causing problems.

Like, I can't do washing up in the sink for any length of time cause it really hurts, same for leaning over the cot to change Oliver, and as for sweeping or mopping the kitchen floor - no chance!

Anyone else still suffering? Is it worth going to the Dr about it?

hiya hun ive got the same thing, i have to roll out of bed i cant sit up straight or get up from laying on the floor playing with Thomas :(
its even worse now im pregnant again and im going to see the dr about it at my 16 week appt.
dont suffer with it hun go see some-one you might get some help for it
xx

yep, that's how I was while pregnant.
It's eased a lot since then, but still suffering.

But, I am getting some good massages off the OH at bedtime lol

Do you always lean over the cot when changing as that may be the problem. I was changing Connie on the floor and started getting knee problems so switched to the cot top changer, my knee was then OK but then my back started aching :wall: . Try changing in a different positon for a few weeks and see if that helps. It's the repetitive action that may be causing the back ache.

i'm the same.. and it's been a year now.
bending over to do leah's nappy is a killer, so is washing my hair over the bath... it takes me 10 minutes to straighten my back again!
i also had meralgia parasthetica (fancy word for nerves or something) in pregnancy, and even now,, if i sit a certain way then I can't feel my legs for an hour.. and i still can't lie on my back in bed because it starts it off :(

yeah im the same Kim, i have to wash my hair whilst in the shower, i cant bend over to do it.

its annoying more than anything.

but thats for the advice

don't even get me started lol....after having ryan (10lb 7.5oz) i've suffered with bad lower back ache and pain in my coccyx. I went to the docs in march 08 and was referred for physio for 3 months which did nothing. i was diagnosed with coccydynia. Then in november 08 i had some steroid injections in my coccyx, which again havent helped. I was then told i could have my coccyx removed by one surgeon, then was advised against it :wall: so now i am waiting for an mri scan to show up any muscle/tissue damage but he told me theres not a lot more he can do for me, aside from painkillers and anti inflammatries which don't help. :( Its a constant deep ache in my lower back which really gets me down, and a sharp pain in my coccyx, especially worse when sitting or standing for long periods. I can't lay on my back either :( I am absolutely sick to death of it and no one seems to care. I've had various x-rays which have showed that my coccyx is bent from having ryan. I've had to quit my job because of it, and i cant even go to the gym anymore or pick ryan up easily :( just writing this all down is upsetting. I've had to put up with this 16 months now. Go to the docs asap as they take ages to do anything about it, thats if they even care, mine dont.

oh hun that sounds awful. i seriously don't know how you've coped.

things seemed to have eased up a bit not. still not great but i think they are starting to repair and heal up.

mine's agony when doing things like hoovering, dishes, changing nappies. (OH thinks its a "coincidence" )
maybe GP could get you referred for physio? or some kind of massage?
