I had my scan this morning. It was strange being in the waiting room as there were other ladies in there all looking a little anxious with their partners. Then one couple walked out of one of the rooms in tears, which was really sad.
Well, I went in and the sonographer immediately found the foetus and we saw the heartbeat She played the heartbeat over the sound and it was nice and regular. I was a bit worried at one point as I could see 2 legs, but no arms, but then they appeared! The foetus had its arms behind its head - like it was lying back relaxing!
We got 4 photos (haven't had chance to scan them yet). The foetus has a button nose, just like me
Head to rump is 4.5cm dating me at 11 +1 and due on Dec 21st.
I was told about a study that the hospital is doing which if I choose to take part means having about 4 extra scans at various stages and a couple of extra blood tests. I decided to sign up so I can get the extra scans.
I have a private nuchal scan a week on Thursday, so more piccies!
Phew! I'm glad everything's ok, as I was beginning to lose symptoms and was getting really anxious.
