Baby's weight

The doctor's appointment went well yesterday. They did the detailed scan and said the baby is 4 pounds and 11 ozs. Iam 35 weeks completing tomorrow and wondering whether the weight is good. Any one had scan at this stage? I do not want the baby to be too big or too small. Any info on this please? I am diabetic and on strict diet too. My blood sugars are controlled properly.

I think the weight is about perfect for your stage. According to the babycenter fetal size chart the average(for the US at least) for 35 weeks is 5.25 pounds.

when nicole was born she weighed 5lb 3oz
it went down to just over 4lb
now she weighs 5lb 2oz she is still underweight
i think 4lb 11oz is quite a good weight and even if it is big/small then it is ok
nicole is one of the tiniest babies ive ever seen but if she is healthy then i dont mind how small she is
