This is my first baby so I can't speak from personal experience but my two best friends have both recently had their second babies and they both felt them at 16 - 17 weeks although didn't feel their first until 20 ish weeks. They are both quite skinny and that can make a difference apparently (won't be feeling mine for a long time then!)
Hi Amy's Mum, with a first child they say its from 18weeks and for second and subsiquent babies its 16weeks, but it might not be ages after that, depending on your pelvis size, weight, muscle tone etc. I didnt feel my baby move till 21 weeks!
I am just passed 17 weeks and this is my first, I have just started feeling slight movements like a butterfly inside, nothing like I have ever felt before. I usually notice it only when I am lying down relaxing. I have been told by several people that its too early to feel a first baby.
So am I imagining thigs !
Well I'm not skinny but I felt the very first flutter at 17 weeks (this is my first), then I wasn't sure for a week, but then from 18 and a half weeks until now (20 weeks) I feel movement everyday- mostly after I've eaten or when I'm sitting forward slightly. I think it must depend on where it is and all sorts of things- I'd been worried that since I had a tum before I got pregnant I'd feel it late but it didn't make a difference for me.
