hi there all,
I finally delivered a beautiful baby boy on Monday 8th May @ 11.15pm.
Ryan Steven Slessor was 8lb 2oz, and really didn't want to make an appearance into the world.
I was taken into hospital on Sunday 7th for induction and after 36 hours of labour, it was decided to deliver Ryan by C Section as although I was contracting as I should be, I was making no progress in terms of him appearing - I only dilated 3cm in total so section was the only option.
As it turned out - Ryan had turned and there was no way I would have been able to deliver on my own.
As my waters had broke almost 26 hours before he was born, Ryan was also tested for various infecions and and he was whisked away to the special nursery for 36 hours on day 2 which was very upsettin and I really didn't know what was going on. However, he's a total fighter and was returned to me, infection and jaundice free on Thursday night.
Let me just say, this has been the weirdest week of my entire life. However, he's been worth every minute. We finally got out of hospital yesterday and are now trying to get into some sort of routine at home which is to date going not too bad.
Hope everyone is doing well..
