Baby Oliver finally Arrives!

Hi everyone,

This is the first chance I've had to announce his arrival. He took his time though, 10 days late!

I was in labour from 11 on the wednesday morning and in hospital from midnight on thursday. It was taking ages to dilate and when I was fully dilated there was still a lip around cervix that wouldn't go over his head, they gave me pethadine at this point but when I was pushing his heart rate was dropping so I had to be transferred to a different hospital as I was at a midwife run unit. It turned out he was back to back, they tried the vacuum pump but that didn't work so gave me a general anaesthetic and did the c section.

All is ok now though thank god!

Oh, by the way, he weighed in at 7lb 8oz!
