well ladies i had a baby hawk with oliver but i found it dug into my sholders a bit as the angle wasnt quite right to rest on the 'balls' of my sholders.

which carrier is best to avoid this for a newbie?

obviously still a mei tai.

i am just sooo stumped, all the carrier out there it is so confusing.

Thanks in advance

I must admit that this is my first Meitai but it is soooooo comfy!! Maria is fantastic!! :D

thanks Lea - has the carrier got quite wide shoulder parts to spread across your shoulders? BTW your little girl is very beautiful :D

I've also got one of Marias and its very comfy. I was surprised as the baby carrier i did have (chicco one) was awful. I couldnt understand how the mei tai would be comfy if the shoulders werent padded but it really is.

They are wide to me! They are very comfy and havent dug in at all!
But I cant say they are wider than the babyhawk as I have never seen one to compare it with sorry!
You could PM Maria! She should be able to help you more! :D

Hmmm I still use my BabyHawk the most out of the 3 ( ) MTs that I have. I find the padded straps better for carrying her for longer and they don't dig in to me at all? I find that it manages to distribute her weight onto my hips really well. Mind you, I was using a Baby Bjorn before that and NOTHING kills your shoulders like a Baby Bjorn. I always tie the BabyHawk under her bum whereas my other ones (like in Lea's picture) both get tied behind her back.

I love my Maria mei tai as well, she custom made it for me and it's just gorgeous. Cow print and black minkee. The only reason I don't use it every day is because I don't want to spoil it

Is it just a mei tai you want? I've got a Kari-Me stretchy wrap sling and I LOVE it. I think it's fab for a newborn because he's so secure. It means I can bend down to deal with Austin if needs be. I had heard that wrap slings can be complicated to tie but once you've done it 2 or 3 times it's a doddle.

I'm going to get a Mei Tai from Maria when he's a little bit bigger but I love my wrap for now.

hi maybebaby - not seen you in a while, i do already have a wrap sling i got from babylicious.

its just a mei tai i could MAYBE use for oliver too. also they have a lot of lovley designs :)

how are the boys doing any way
