Baby cough, help?

Sorry, I'm flooding a bit again... Last one I promise.

Cay's had a horrible dry cough for about five weeks now.

After about three weeks of it I took him the pharmacy, and got him cough syrup. He had a week of that with no luck.
Last week, he had all his temperature and stuff and found out he'd got tonsillitis.
He's had a week of amoxicillin (tomorrow), the tonsillitis seemed to be gone by the next day, but this freakin cough's still clinging on.

He has a snot-crusty nose in the mornings, but nothing through the day.
He has no breathing issues.

Just this cough.

Any ideas? Xx

My son has always had cough.when.he has a stuffy nose. Is it worse any time of the day?

Doesn't really seem to be... If anything it's maybe a little more frequent through the afternoon, but he coughs through mornings and overnight in his sleep too. ? Xx

Can it be allergic? My son used to have nocturnal cough which can point to.allergic reaction. Sometimes.they.just cough, i.have taken him numerous times to.be checkee though

Jack coughs at 6.30am every morning. Nothing during the day. I have no idea what it is but guess its his bunny losing teddy fur and tickling his throat xxx
