Hi everyone. Just wondering what everyone does with regards to the foods that should be avoided during pregnancy, soft cheese, pate etc. Are you avoiding these while ttc? Just in case you do become pregnant. Also alcohol, are you avoiding it?

I avoid alcohol (which isn't hard for me as I don't really drink)..I don't like soft cheese or pate so I guess that's easy for me to avoid too! - I generally try to eat a bit healthier but I don't avoid any foods in particular.. I find TTC is stressful enough without worrying what I'm eating all the time, I think it's more of an issue once you become pregnant :) xx

I never worried about anything like that until I was pregnant. Life's so short and you could be waiting ages

I'm not drinking and I'm limiting oily fish and shellfish. Generally being a bit careful. I read that the 3 months leading up to conception is important as those nutrients are what your baby lives on initially. Also taking folic acid.
