Isabella is now over 3 months and I have the next teats for 3m +, can I just switch over now or introduce slowly. I know this might sound an odd question just dont want her choking or having to suck too hard on the teats she has now

Lydia couldn't handle the 3 months + ones at all. It took us until she was about 9 months before we could give her anything other than the newborn ones.

I was wondering if they would be abit much for her. I know a friend who didnt ever change her teats and didnt know there was different teats and her LO is ok.

Stanley is already on these as he's on thicker formula.

we just switched straight away with no problems :)

Damien switched over when he had thicker milk, just changed staright away no problems, and then I pt him up again when he had more milk in his bottles and seemed to be struggling to get it quick enough.

wat happened to just piercing a bigger hole? :?

You can do that on latex teats, but the Avent are silicone so you can't do it hygienically/neatly.

hygenically.... you boil the teats after..

im sure u can... my mom did it with my sis

I just remember reading the best way to di it was with a red hot needle that 'burns' the latex bigger, and silicone doesn't melt properly?

How did your mum do it Ebony?

at first she'd use a fork to just stretch it a little.. then when my sister got older... used a thin tipped knife... to open it more to get the 'cerelac' through...

its like baby porridge meets baby milk

You can try them and you'll know if it's too soon as Isabella may splutter a bit - if so, just go back to the newborn ones.

I tried it a few times with Maddie - it was several months before we were able to move her up.

Is it just me or are the avent teats just rubbish??,..... Charlie is nearly 8 months old and l have had to stick to the 2 months+ teats as the other ones just leak milk everywhere. l have tried other ones like the 3 months+ and the ones after that and the variflow ones but they all leak everywhere! So l just stick to 2 months+

We use the no.2 teats for Isaac and have done for ages. We tried the variflow ones but the milk came out too quickly for him.

It seems to be that 50% of your LO's have got on ok with no 3 teats and 50% havent :?
