We bought a bugaboo when I was pregnant with my first and after about a year we bought a maclaren techno as the bugaboo was just too bulky to carry around and travel with. I am now pregnant with my second and thankfully we kept the bugaboo! My son will be 3yrs when this one is born and although he wants to walk everywhere, he also gets tired with long distances. I have been looking at the buggy boards and would like anyones opinion on where it would be worth buying one. Any thought would be great thank you!

I can't really help with this as I'm in exactly the same situation. Lucie will be three when this one is born too... so also interested to know... since buggyboards were kind of my plan too.

lol same here my wee one will be nearly 3 when this bubs comes along and was thinking about a buggy board sorry cant help

I think I'd consider a buggy board but I'd also say a sling with the baby would be a good idea so you can still use the Bugaboo/Maclaren with your toddler :)

I think i'd rather use a buggy board cos Lucie reallly doesn't like being in her buggy now. She's getting too independent to sit at peace for more than 5 minutes.

I have a 2 yr old a 1yr old and now im pregnant, sooo im thinking a new buggy and a buggy board for the double buggy i have and for the new push chair when i get one as my kids will be 3 and 2 then and im nasty and i will tell belle she is too old for a buggy hahaha!! i have got a sling upstairs too so if its a long journey i have a double buggy and a sling lol!!!!

Lucie just decided herself she's too old for a buggy. Hasn't been in hers since November.

3 is so much harder to deal with logistically than 2!!

A buggy board is so much easier then a double pram ...ethan was 2 and 3 months when lily was born and refused to use to for first few weeks now he loves it

I love Buggy boards, think they have really come on since mine was when they first came out , got mine in 2001 when my second was born, then used it on my slim double stroller (side by side) when my third was born 13 mths later. You had to put shopping behind the other side to the buggy board to try and even out the pushing weight! but great help to me.

Occaisnally the one on the buggy board would fall asleep standing up!

If you have a slimmer than normal pushchair, you should have attachments to adjust in the buggy board pack. I found my the pushchair bit on the double was slimmer than normal pushchairs, and so even with adjustments would unclip and detach when going up or down curbs. Just buy some of those bike rack elastic things with small hooks at the back from halford, and wrap round the back of the push chair frame / buggy board clips and all was great, did not effect how it could lift up and hook up when toddler got off and walked either, sounds strange but worked.

Def recomend them.

This morning to nursery I took my icandy out with Megan in and Caitlin walking with the hand wrist on ...Nightmare nightmare nightmare  I came home and said "I really could have done with a buggboard this morning! I have a double but its a pain in the backside to get in and out the house with because the front porch is small and there isn't anywhere else for them to go!

I would say one to hand is a good idea. Maybe even a second?

I bought a buggy board, and sold it 3 weeks later.
I didnt get on with it at all. My back ached where i had to stick my butt out to allow room for my daughter to stand on it.
And its so heavy! I had back ache after half hour.

What pram did you use it with? Im guessing it may be easier with one that can adjust?

My friend bought me a buggy board for William when I had Sophie but I only used it once as Will was walking quite well and I kept hitting my legs on it. I left it in the cupboard under the stairs until I had Ellie a few months back but it has been a total godsend this time. My double pram is like a tank and really hard to steer and get on buses - Sophie isn't 2 yet so can't walk everywhere. I really wouldn't be without it this time.
