Hey I also stupidly forgot to put my name haha! I'm April, the sickness is mostly gone I suffered quite badly with that! Could hardly hold anything down, the tiredness is still there with a vengeance but that could also be the long hours I work so I don't really know which to blame! But I'm feeling pretty good, although slightly nervous! Hope your all feeling well and how have all your symptoms subsided? I was on another forum but didn't feel so welcome there but here feels a lot different! Hope you all have a wonderful day and if anyone ever feels they'd like to chat with someone for a bit of support I'm all for it! xx

Thanks hun. Were going to see what the Liverpool women's says tomorrow then go for the amnio if they suggest it. I hate needles and am going to ask can I be put asleep lol but doubt it were just looking through the different "syndromes" the baby could have to better prepare ourselves xx

3LM I hope tomorrows appointment goes well and you don't need the amnio, but if you decide to have it hopefully the needle etc will be ok. What time are you going?

Just had my combination screening test results back I'm high risk with 1in10 I'm devastated now that means I'll have to have the amniocentesis done x

I am so sorry you are going through this stressful time. I hope tomorrows appointment is more positive and the amnio isnt needed. Sending you a bug hug huni

They rang earlier and have moved my app to 11am so not too long to wait. I have 3 healthy children and I'm only 27 so if baba does have down syndrome it's not the end of the world and will be loved regardless xx

Thanks hun I have never believed in abortion and have never opted for the screening as I always thought what will b will b. We have discussed that if it's a syndrome that means the baby wouldn't live very long we would opt out of the pregnancy as no baby deserves to be in pain for a few hours or day just for our selfish reasons, as hard as it will be I know it's the right decision for the baby. So I just have to sit and wait now for results. X

Aw 3lm, thinking of you. We are still waiting on results for screening but my midwife called today to say I have a sickle cell trait (I am mixed race and my father is Afro-Caribbean, mum white). My husband now needs to go for a blood test to see if he is a carrier but as he is white the chances are pretty low apparently. Another worry though ;(
