Anyone else starting then nursery yet?

Yes we have started ours. The cotbed is up with change table at end. She has a pink carpet and nursing chair in there. Today we went out and bought a quilt and cot bumper set with matching mobile

We've started clearing out the room but have a bit more to do. Next week we're off to Ikea to buy the furniture so hopefully i can get going soon. I have my jungle stickers ready to decorate the walls and furniture. I'm itching to get started!

aww bet you can wait start it properly now that sounds relli nice with the animal theme, im not sure about colors yet but just bough my furniture gorgous wardrobe and draws white, cant wait to start mine might start it after wednesday got my 20 week scan n hopefully finding out yey xxx

I really want to make a start on ours too - pretty much every room in our house needs decorating before the baby comes though and it's starting to get me down

We're working our way through it though, and our bathroom should be done by the end of the weekend :cheer: then the nursery is next on the list. The walls are already painted (off-white) and I'm going to decorate it with colourful pictures and soft furnishings. We're staying team green and the baby will be in his/her own room from day one so I'll keep it neutral. I luuurve this range from M&P, so I'm going to hunt for a similar/cheaper version from somewhere (and if I can't I'll just go shopping with my Mum and drop copious hints  ) -

aww noooo... hmmm i can start crying for nofing lately, am fed up wiv it. u will soon be doing it though u'v got me all excited now might go and get a few more bits for the room tomorrow n get OH clear it :) hope he does it for you tomorow xx

Well he'd better cos I've really told him a bit of a white lie to get the whole house done by end of February, I told him there would be lingering paint fumes if it waited anylonger and that could make the baby ill

Just thought I was crying my eyes out last night watching a programme about schoolgirl mums to be on bbc3 i think it was. I should think of that!

I'm not even sure if we'll have a nursery. We're in a rented 2 bed house, which we all love, and it's in a great area etc.
My girls have one room (the smaller one with bunk beds), and we have the larger room. The plan was to have the baby in our room until he/she sleeps through (could be some time then! ), and then swap rooms with the girls and put them and the bean in the same larger room (it is big enough).

However, it is really upsetting me. The nesting is kicking in massively, and all I want is a little room for my little bean!
We're viewing a 3 bedroom house again tomorrow. Saw it a couple of weeks ago, but it's all been painted and cleaned now. I just can't bear the hassle and expense of moving again, and my head is going round and round in circles! :wall:

Our little one is going to share with Zachary when he gets to 6 months or so, (we live in a 2 bed house and Zac's bedroom is MASSIVE) so we are going to decorate the bedroom all blue and boyish and digger themed so that suitable for Zac now and will be good for the baby too. Lucky they are both boys, makes our life so much easier!! They will have bunk beds eventually in a few years.

Well me and OH are currently living in the house his father owns (he's letting us live here rent free while we get ourselves sorted, which is kind of him) and the bedroom the baby is having is the bedroom that Alex had when he was a newborn so we are leaving it that way as we don't want to decorate when we'll be moving in a year or two!

Every time I think about it, I remember that I will have to clear out the wardrobe and chest of drawers that are absolutely stuffed full of my clothes. As are all but one of the wardrobes and one of the chest of drawers in our bedroom, and the chest of drawers and wardrobe in the other spare room

I can't face dealing with all that so I just keep shutting the door :rotfl:

(p.s. - I don't buy lots of clothes - but I never throw anything away. I still have my rowing kit from university - which I left in 1997    and I have my lacrosse kit from SCHOOL, last worn in 1992 and complete with embroidered initials  But you never know when it will come in useful....)

Ooooo how exciting ... get him on it so you can get started... your idea sounds lovely!

I wish I could start on ours but we are hoping to move in April so will have to wait til then. At least we will know the sex by then... I'm planning duck egg with a dinosaur theme for a boy (cutsie dinosaurs not scarey ones!) and peach with fairy theme for a girl... will have to see what OH thinks though as well I suppose

This baby will have to share a room with Luca as we only have a 2 bed at the moment but im gonna wait till thursday when i find out what gender the baby is so i can do the room to the taste of a 5 year old as well as a new baby Mmmm which will be well hard so iv no idea what to do anyone have any suggestions?
Luca will be nearly 6 when this bubs comes along maybe i could do something like farm animals or something like that

xxx
