Anyone else not feeling pregnant

Im feeling sorry for myself.
Its feels so long since i found out was pg and nothing much has happened.
Nobody has confirmed im pregnant and its another two weeks till scan.

All i want to talk about is baby and buying cots etc. Im the only one whos interseted.
OH says he cant relate until he sees the scan.

Maybe im being hormonal but i want fussed over and treated like a princess cos im pregnant.

and i dont feel pregnant atal, unless i'd heart HB now, i'd never have believed it..

My OH doesnt seem as into it as me, he refers to lil Bean as Jnr.. and says nice things, but doesnt realize all the sacrafises i'm making.. not smokin/drinkin going out as much etc..

i know this is a small price to pay for a beautiful baby tho..

Anyway i'm with you huni But you ARE pregnant, keep reminding yourself hehe xxx

Have a tantrum and stamp your feet! Your are pregnant and you want the attention for it!!
Tell everyone how your feeling! And you want flowers and your tea made etc etc!
You are a princess and if they wont do it, we will!!
(well we cant make you tea lol but we can give you lots of these! )

The early stages are a bit strange as nothing much really happens and you dont look pregnant. A couple more months and that will all change. Oh and when you see baby for the first time you will definately feel pregnant!!

I feel exactly the same, the time just seems to have dragged since I got my BFP and don't feel at all pregnant. Had a scan 3 weeks ago at 9 weeks and saw the little heartbeat which made it feel real for a few days but now I'm back struggling to believe it again. Got another scan on Monday and finding it hard to believe there is really going to be a little person in there!

Can't wait to have a bump for OH to see and chat to, I'm sure it'll come around soon enough but this first trimester really does drag!

Not sure what I'd do without this place for my daily dose of pregnancy news and gossip!

I'm feeling the same too. I'm getting really impatient for my bump to appear! I too had a scan at 9 weeks and saw the heartbeat, but was advised by the nurse at the hospital that I might not have a 12 week scan, is this true ladies?
I feel no diferent on the whole, and I'm sort of missing drinking wine/vodka and going out with mates at the weekend.
I keep reminding myself that I am pregnant and that I'm gonna enjoy the pregnancy, I just am so looking forward to my bump appearing.
I have my 1st appt with Midwife on 8th May (bit late but my Doc wasn't really bothered and said nothing much happens in the 1st tri), so I'll see how that goes.

The scan thing seems to vary a lot between hospitals. Going by my LMP I should have been 11.5 weeks when I had my scan 3 weeks ago, but the sonographer said I only looked to be around 9 weeks and that I'd have to come back at 12 weeks for a dating scan as it was too early to date. Bit confused by that as other people on here had had dating scans earlier than 9 weeks, but can't complain as can't wait to see little heartbeat again tomorrow.
That will be me then until October though as apparently they don't do 20 week scans up here

Thanx Peanut! I went for the early scan as I had been getting pains and was worried and it was then the sonographer told me that I was 9 weeks pg (I thought I was 8 weeks roughly). I saw a nurse after that who took a urine sample and was very nice, and she told me that I might not have a 12 week scan now. I'm not sure so I guess I'll have to wait and see what MW says at my 1st appt.
Hope all goes well tomorrow for you! I bet you can't wait to see baby again, I'd love to see mine again!
Can't believe they don't do 20 week scans where you are!

My midwife has had to turn a blind eye to the private scan i paid for as they can then turn round and not give me one at 12 weeks which i think is really bad. I just wish we were allowed more than two on the NHS.

I had a scan at 6 weeks and I have to go back at 12 weeks as usual!?
Peanut, I think that it is odd they dont do a 20 week scan where you are?
That is the more important scan where they make all the measurement and make sure there are no abnormalities! (sorry sounds so horrible really)
Can you not insist on having one? i hope you get ot have one!!!

dont worry about not feeling pregnant, im 18 weeks today & still dont feel pregnant! The OH only doesnt let me climb to get things off shelves or carry heavy things... but thats only coz his dad gave him a lecture about letting me do it i think Hopefully ill soon get a bump so i look pregnant & maybe that will bring both our minds round to the situation. x

I feel the same, OH's scared to bond in case something happens so doesn't really want to talk about it. And I haven't been able to tell anyone else because the two people I desperatelt want to tell (my mum and sister) are the biggest gossips in the world and would 'accidentally' tell EVERYONE within a couple of hours of finding out! If I didn't have the forum I'd be going mad right now. OH hasn't decided when he'll feel comfortable telling people yet.

I'm sure my mum's guessed though, she was looking at me funny the other day so I legged it before she could ask

Hopefully you'll feel more pregnant soon - the good bits though, not the sickness, constipation & heartburn...

I'm really hoping they do now do 20 week scans, they definitely didn't a year ago but there perhaps their funding has been boosted since then!

Hey Im from nearer Salford!
I actually gave birth to my 3 in Bolton as its just 5 minutes away from where I live!
But this time Im going with Hope! (Salford Royal!)
It had some scary stigma for a while but now its got a good rep and won some awards lol
I was born there and they are closing the Maternity unit in the next few years so (they are kinda merging it with Bolton)i guess I just wanted one of my children born where I were, while I had the chance!
I hope I dont regret it!! lol

Cool! I stayed there after I had my 2cd son (I got an abssess on my backside from the diamorphine injection) and it was lovely then! Really clean etc I have never seen the maternity unit though! But I bet it is fine!

It was I had to stay in hospital for a couple of nights too!
I went to have it checked and they just rushed me in! I was scared! I didnt even have a change of clothes or anything!! LOL
Damn dirty needles!! (Thats another reason why I think Hope is the best choice this time lol)
