any one have a home birth??

i've just been looking at #2's birth certificate, i only really gave it a quick glance over before i signed eerything the other day, cos i wasnt really in the best of moods lol. as place of birth, its got the hospital, but she was born at home. the woman knew this, cos we discussed it when we got there. i'm just wondering if thats standard, or if it should say my address?

am friggin gutted if its wrong cos it can never be changed now i think the woman did it just to piss me off!!

I don't have the answer to your Q... But I would be interested to find out too! We are having a home birth and it would be nice to have place of birth as our address if not just the town we live in

I had Niamh at home and it has our address (well our old address as we've since moved) as her place of birth.
I do remember there being some confusion and the registrar (sp!) couldn't actually find a record of Niamh's birth but because we had Niamh's hospital number she was able to find it. Turned out someone had inputted it in the computer wrongly and had her down as a hospital birth.

Not sure where you would stand now though, I'd ring and check. We had a spelling mistake on Kians birth certificate and i had to go back and they redid them.
