Just thought I'd see if there's any other ladies from the US. Would love to hear your stories and follow your journey into motherhood.

OH and I have been TTC since May 2014, just started keeping track of my cycles this past May (so cycle 7 of "official" ttc). Never thought it would take this long to get pregnant. I'm 31 and OH is 35 (36 on the 19th Nov). I'm going to be using OvuSense to try better pinpointing my ovulation this cycle, currently on CD2 and the witch is being a real B. She was 7 days late, I was taking Levaquin for pneumonia and apparently strong antibiotics can delay menstruation (fun fact). Hmm.. Oh! I live in Georgia, my family is from Louisiana and I met OH in his home state of New Jersey. I've traveled a lot in my years on this earth and we're still going on adventures; Aruba in 2 days for OH's birthday!

Would love to know about your journey and where you're from. I know this is primarily a UK forum but I'm sure I'm not the only American to join.

:dust: all around!

Me!! I'm from USA, Arizona. :) My journey is very usual. I'm 47 years old, I'll be 48 in December. I spent all of my life as a Nun, then decided I wanted to do something else with my life. Met my OH, fell in love and we got married 7 months ago. Got my first BFP ever and now I'm 7 months pregnant with my first child a boy. We're going to name him Troy junior after his dad, T.J. for short. Even though I'm an older mom, I have zero experience with TTC but I'm learning a lot from this board. :) I came here to have people to discuss pregnancy with because all of my friends are grandparents now! LOL!

This is a good idea for a thread, let's see how many others are here from US. :)

I've read your story someplace in the forums before, that's pretty miraculous that you left the nunnery, found love and got pregnant! Congratulations and I wish you a very healthy and happy 9 months.

Arizona. OH and I lived in New Mexico for a while and my parents did travel technician work in Phoenix (dad's a radiographer, mom's an oncology RN). I've gone out to visit them before and had Cold Stone ice cream for the first time there. What do you like to get up to? Do you have any hobbies?

I'm very curious how many ladies are in the US, I knew I wasn't the only one! :)

Thanks Salley! Yes I love Stone Cold too. :D My hobbies are going to the gym, although I've cut down on it now for a while, traveling, movies, computer games, and sometimes going to Desert Diamond casino. :D Other than that, nothing much. How about you? :)

I knit and crochet mostly. OH and I like traveling. We're both into photography too and planning to take a lot of pictures in Aruba because we nearly completely forgot to take any when we were in St. Thomas earlier this year.

Oh cool. I like to crochet sometimes too. Oooh Aruba sounds nice! I've never been there. Yes take lots of pictures! I've been to St. Thomas before it was nice. The last trip I've been on was a few years ago I went to New Zealand, that was fun. Maybe I'll make Aruba my next vacation.

New Zealand and Australia are on my bucket list! We've been perusing Cheap Caribbean for good deals. Riviera Mia is going to be our next destination, after a revisit to St. Thomas. :)
