Hi,

I was given a lovely pine cot by my DH's brother - all we need to get is a new mattress........ didn't realise this was going to be such a difficult decision...

Desperately need some advice:

someone said that I should only get a spring mattress - but others have said that foam is fine as it is a cot and not cot bed and therefore baby will only be in it for a couple of years........

and the prices vary so much - from about £30 - £150

I have no idea which kind to get and how much to spend.......

any help from you wonderful mums would be fab... thanks

if yougo to nippers.com or co.uk you can have a mattress made up my one only cos me about £15

hi  i have just bought Louie a sprung mattess for his cot & it was £50 from mothercare, its a really good one that says its good for allergys & stuff.
i had a foam one for my other 2 kids & never had any problems.
wouldn't spend much more than £60 on a mattress though

i got the cheapest one from babies r us just the foam. i was skint at the time and said in the future i would upgrade but nearly 2 yrs on Dior still has it its great its wipe able to as she spills her bottle and wets the bed alot

i got the same for Harley to. they are fine

I got one from Urban Mattress, but I don't think you need something very expensive as your baby is not going to grow so soon and you need to change the mattress often
