i know im posing about my tablets a lot lately but ive been prescribed flucloxacillin and its jus not working for me, i have to have on empty stomach every six hours, which i am not managing. they are also making me rather ill, sick and tummy ache! if i ring docs and book appointment for tomorrow will they be able to precsribe me something different? i just cant take anymore, they are making me feel shitty!!xxxx

Hopefully. If not they may be able to give you something extra like anti sickness tablets which may help.

Usually when they take a sample, like a swab, the results come back with what the infection is and what medicine(s) will get rid of it. Hopefully there's something else you'll be able to take. Quite a few antibiotics are nasty on the stomach. You could also check with your GP if it's absolutely necessary to have an empty stomach before taking them - if you can eat something with it, like a piece of toast, this would probably help with the tummy ache you're getting.
