Sorry to intrude, just wondered if anyone could give me some advice and make me feel better... As posted in Tri 2 but it seems I'm the only one in there lol

I have a bit of a problem... I just started leaking fluid (and no... it's not diarrhoea like JP suggested :rotfl: )

I was lying on the sofa chatting to JP and i felt a warm gush. So i went to the toilet and leaked some more :( I then did a weewee so I know it wasnt that, plus it felt different.

It was, in my opinion, too watery to be discharge but I may be wrong... can anyone help me?

ETA: I have heard baby today so I know she if fine :) I'm probably just worrying over nothing

It could be urine if baby has agitated your bladder or it could be some of your water's leaking. If it's discharge it's not likely to "gush". Put a pad on/sanitary towel and check it in about half an hour. If it is wet then it may be your water's. The best way of knowing is having a sniff, if it smells sweet then it's amniotic fluid, and if it smells more like amonia then it's urine. If you are any way unsure I would call your MW/Dr. and go into the hosp to have it checked as your water's should not be leaking this early.

yeah i would def keep an eye on it.
it could be discharge, i have had discharge 'gush' before, and made me wet, but it's better to be safe than sorry

at the hospital they can do a simple test with i think litmus paper? put it inside you and if it turns a certain colour then it's your waters leaking. if not, then it isnt.

it's a quck test, but being at your gestation i'd get checked out.

I've been leaking all the way through this pregnancy, I would advise you phone the midwife who will probably suggest you go to the hospital. They will do a speculum to see if you have ruptured your membranes. Good luck.

Thanks for all your advice

I rang NHS Direct who passed me on to the delivery suite.

I've got to keep an eye on it over the next hour and if I leak anymore then I have to go in to be checked.

Thanks so much

just seen a update in 2nd tri, shes being kept in hospital as they think its her waters

just wanted to say good luck hunni

Bit of an update on Andreaaa

She is still leaking and having tightenings every 7 - 10 mins.

The midwife got a doppler and baby is fine (140bpm)

Doc gave her a sleeping tablet to help her sleep, so far its only gone and woken baby up.

Thats your lot for now.
