January 18th....two days before my 25th birthday!
Look what I got yesterday morning.......
I had tested the other morning with an ebay cheapie
and got the faintest of faint lines, and was SO relieved when my
second line (the most beautiful line I've ever seen!
) came
up straight away on the First Response test I took yesterday!
So far we've only told my mother...and now you girls know too!
In a way I still feel scared as it's such early days, but hubby and
my mom have reassured me everything will be ok! You don't know
how much I look at that test, over and over--it took a long time
to sink in, that is MY BFP! My sweet DH started crying like a baby
when I showed the test to him.
As some of you may know, DH is quite a bit older than me and he
takes Viagra as and when needed. I had read some reports that
V makes the sperm mature too quickly and not fertilize the egg
properly. He told me we'd try without it and imagine my surprise
when he didn't need it at all! Also, I told him not to drink his
precious tea for a few days before our window of opportunity,
and maybe that worked too. (---TMI alert---) I do know that
on the nights we bd'd, his umm....baby batter was very thick,
way more than normal...and he started making jokes about
'Baby Treacle' and so forth!
Anyway...we're so SO happy and what's nice is that last night
hubby's brother calls to tell us his wife is 9 weeks pregnant!
They've been trying for years and she suffered a miscarriage
last year. My hubby had been saying earlier how he was worried
about breaking our happy news to his brother, since they'd had
such a hard time TTC....but now it won't be so hard! We didn't
tell them yet, as we wanted them to have their own happy moment,
but hopefully in 9 months time, there will be two new little cousins
in the family!
