i have a word of advice for y'all should u ever be in this situation.

earlier as i was getting millie ready for bed, i literally ran upstairs to fetch her sleepsuit, but as i came to the top of the stairs on my way back millie had "escaped" from the door to the hallway (which wasnt closed properly) and had made her way halfway up the stairs.

well altho she is now very accomplished on the stairs, both ascending and descending, i still dont want her being on the stairs without me or DF at the bottom *just in case* she falls.

so i thought "fuck!" and tried to disguise my panic by coaxing her towards me, so i could grab her and hold her safe!

so i held my arms out wide to her

NEVER DO THIS!

she proceeded to STAND UP AND HOLD HER ARMS OUT BACK TO ME  omg my heart nearly stopped! and my nightmare *almost* came true she did slip, but LUCKILY she only slipped ONE stair down (there was about 10 behind her!) and then leant forwards on her hands again, she stayed still (crying from the shock i think) so i ran down and scooped her up :(

to some of y'all it might be common sense, but i'd have never thought of this that she might copy so hopefully should anyone find this happens to them dont reach out arms (unless ur so close u can grab!)

omg so scary. one of my worst fears is kids falling down the stairs, or people carrying kids while walking down the stairs. im forever telling oh to 'be careful' walking down stairs when carrying the little ones.

im glad she's ok
