a question for those that do BLW

what do you do for soups, yogurts and other puree like things? do you load the spoon and let them try? or maybe just spoon feed while they give it a go too or maybe just avoid and stick to finger foods?

greek cousine has loads of spoon required dishes and not sure what i would do with those if i chose to BLW?


yep yep i still didn't decide if i will BLW or TW...

with yogurt and thicker soups i just dipped spoon in so it had a little coating on it. a fork is easier - so for like a soup with chunky bits we use a fork so she can feed herself the chunks.

what kind of things were you thinking might cause a problem??

Hi Op, i don't soley BLW but i do a mix of TW AND BLW. i sppon feed him purees and yoghurts ect but i also give him small bits of chopped up soft foods he can eat and chew easily. he also likes rice cakes we started weaning 2weeks ago so you dont have to do one or the other you could do a mix if you wanted like me.
