8 weeks prgnant ,terrible diarrhoea! Can I take imodium?

Hi girls,

I've had diarrhea for a while now and it is really getting me down
I could not even manage to get the children to school this week and was very lucky that MIL took them for me!
But she will have to go soon and I'll have to walk the kids to school myself,
I seriously wonder how I am gonna do that without pooping myself!

I looked up online if I can take imodium as that seems to be the only thing to help me but one site sais no and the other sais yes!
I will phone the doc tomorrow,but what if he sais no! Then I am seriously f*cked as I am house bound at the moment and I am getting very fed up now.

So did anyone take imodium during their first trimester and was OK?

I had the vomiting and diarrhoea bug over the weekend and was told by my midwife to not use Imodium. Pick up some diaoralyt as it replenishes your salts and eat food with plenty of fibre to try and harden your stools xxxx

I had bad diarrhoea when I first found out I was pregnant. I was advised by both my GP and midwife that Imodium/loperamide is a big no no xx
