Hey!

I suffered with SPD when I was pregnant with my son, unfortunately my midwife didn't know what it was so I self diagnosed and by the time the hospital decided to do something they said it was too late! I spent the last 3 months of my pregnancy on the sofa, only getting up for a wee it was so bad. I'm 12weeks pregnant (tomorrow) with my second child and I'm already starting to feel the warning signs!! SPD didn't start until 5 ish months last time! I'm really worried about how I'm going to cope!
There is a lovely lady on here called ShadowWolf, keep an eye out for her, she knows a lot about SPD and has some great advice!

If you don't mind me asking, how bad did it get with your second pregnancy? xx

I am suffering terribly with it now! I think having had it in the past certainly increases the risk of having it again, but having symptoms already at 5 weeks seems a bit early!!! xx

hi Mookie think i should have been on cruthes with my second only through sher studderness i wasn't !! already in touch with the maternity physio and still have my belt from last time. I seem to get it early because i damaged my left sacral iliac joint when i was younger and so am 'deformed' (physios words!!) on the left side anyway !! thanks for the advice.
Main thing I found helped was the belt although can be uncomfortable itself and baby doesnt always like them !! body pillows are great for at night too. just avoid doing the shopping or hoovering that always made mine alot worse xxxx
