Im putting my youngest into her own room tonight witch she will share with my son whos just over 2.
I just have a few worries/questions...

.do you put them to bed at the same time or put the eldest to bed earlier/later or the youngest to bed earlier/later?

.do you find they wake each other up?

.my son will sit there for half an hour crying some nights (we do controlled crying) and after that sometimes sit and talk to himself in bed for an hour im worried that my youngest wont be able to sleep with his nattering lol

any other tips?

Im sure Poppy will sleep through Joe as shes used to sleeping through his noise during the day x

Well I have tried all different ways over the years with mine when smaller, but there was never one right way, I would pick a way and try it, see how it goes, trial and error style, if it doesn't work after a week, try another way till something does work for you. It would depend on your sons bedtime and the current bedtime for Poppy too for the order. Also your son may like being the big boy and going to bed after Poppy as she is just a baby (if you know what I mean), that may help his bedtime too. Or maybee together will wolrk fine, and Poppy won't think she is alone and go down nicely and visa versa with your son. Babies like background noise anyway. I did find for us, when kids were slightly older, that going at same time caused me more problems, but going staggered meant the first one was still awake when second one went to bed, but should work at your kids ages for now

Good luck, let us know how you get on
