Hi All,

My son was born at 33 + 2 due to PPROM - a total surprise why he was early and no explanation has ever been found out.

What extra care did you get in subsequent pregnancies?

Thank you!!! X

My first wasn't quite so early. He was born at 36 weeks with spontaneous labour.

Him being preterm was not a factor in my second pregnancy at all. They just said that they would monitor but if baby wanted to come he would come

I imagine you’d get standard care in subsequent pregnancies. If you don’t rupture your membranes early again there are no obvious risk factors.

To assess the frequency of additional care, and parents' perceptions of quality, respectful care, in pregnancies subsequent to stillbirth.i think Greater attention is required to providing thoughtful, empathic and collaborative care in all pregnancies following stillbirth. Specific education and training for health professionals is needed.
