1st antenatal appointment questions

hi guys

when i went to see my doc yesterday, she said she will refer me for an antenatal appt where i will have a scan, meeting with mw etc.

was just wondering when you guys had yours, like what stage, we don't know exactly how far along i am, between 6-10wks we think.

also what will happen at the appointment. sorry for all the questions, i'm just absolutely clueless

Hi!

Think I had mine at 11-12 weeks. The appointment is about an hour long and involves the midwife asking lots of questions about your past medical/pregnancy history, any preferences for birth (ie home/hospital birth) giving you info on scans, future check-ups, and things like what foods to avoid, etc. She will also take some blood to test for certain conditions like hepatitis. You'll also get an opportunity to voice any concerns.

had mine at 9 weeks
dint really have much done she just gave me leafets about things like breastfeeding and that filled in my notes gave me a pee tube and blood bags
that was it really

see because we're unsure how far along i am, and they are giving me a dating scan, will this be likely to be an internal scan?
