17 month old - how much milk?

Charlotte usually has her porridge/weetabix with full fat milk then anything up to 6 Oz milk afterwards. Then before bed she has up to 9Oz milk. SHe has been having less lately as been off food and been ill.

Do they eventually go down to just one drink of milk a day? Its just she has been less interested in the morning drink lately. She has plenty of yoghurts/cheese etc.

Hi,

Since I breastfed until DD was a year old, I've never been in the habit of measuring her milk intake. She gets whole milk on her cornflakes/weetabix in the morning, with a cup of whole milk, then another cup of whole milk at bedtime, just before bed. Sometimes she drinks it all, sometimes she hardly touches it.

I know that doesn't really help, but I just wanted to say don't get too worried about it - keep offering it then you know she'll take it if she needs it.

Sounds similar, althought I don't know oz only ml In the morning she has about 100 ml and then porridge after. She would probably drink more though. SHe really likes it in the morning. And then in the evening one before bed, about 200ml. Sometimes she has a bit in the day time if she hasn't eaten well and is really tired etc.

Ky has 8oz in the morning, milk on his cereal. usually something to do with cheese in some meal or yoghurt then another 8oz before bed. Its recommended that they have 1 pint of dairy a day but i dont think its essential after 1 and if they have a good diet

Jake was having around 7oz full fat milk in the morning before breakfast, 5-8oz before his afternoon nap and another 8oz to go to bed with. We tried to drop his midday milk and replace it with water and fruit juice but it has really messed up his nap so we started it up again recently. Milk is a real comfort thing for him, hope this wont cause problems down the line
