Hi, new to here, my 14 year old DS has just got chicken pox from his little brother. He seems to be suffering worse and has got it in his eye lids and have found two moveable lumps in his head, I have google it and apparently it’s a lymph node. Just wondering if anyone else has had a child with the dreaded pox with these symptoms. Doctor has said as he’s older that’s prob why it’s more serve, but he seems to be in a lot more discomfort then his brother and is unable to sleep. Any help or advice will be much appreciated. Have tried all the creams and oats and bi carb of soda baths and meds, but nothing seems to be soothing him and there are so many spots.

Doctor is right, teens get it far worse than young children. Lymph nodes usually swell when there’s an infection, so don’t worry about that. It’s just a sign his body is fighting it. I don’t have any advice for soothing the itch though sorry!
