From what i can gather from a previous thread about this....anyone who is 25 wks+ in April should receive it. I think the new tax year starts on the 6th of April so it will probably come into effect then. Keep your fingers crossed!!

Hello,

Thanks for the tip off - I have done some further reseach into this and from what I have read yes if you are 25weeks+ from 6th April 09 you will be entitles to this one off grant. Being an accountant I have done some more research and found the following official sites with information:

I have yet to work out how to go about claiming the grant but if I find out any further information I will post it asap.

So ladies all those due in April (like me) lets hope the little one stays put until after the 6th eh?

i think you should be entitled to it flossy....i dont think it matters how close your edd is as long as it is after the 6th April. Healthy eating will still be important once the baby is here so dont see any reason why you shouldnt be able to claim it.

I would ask your m/w next time you see her.
